José is a clinical therapist with over 8 years of field experience.  Proficient in diverse psychotherapy modalities such as  Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy  (ACT), José provides tailored support to clients, fostering emotional regulation, psychological flexibility, and Positive Discipline techniques. As a devoted husband and father of two, José brings real-world insights to his practice, adeptly navigating personal relationships and family dynamics.

Specializations

With a foundation in philosophical studies and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, coupled with extensive training in modalities like Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, José has spent the past 8 years refining his expertise across various branches of psychology. He has provided diverse services to individuals and conducted training sessions on emotional regulation and psychological flexibility for schools and corporations. His career also includes facilitating Positive Discipline Workshops for parents and teachers in educational and corporate settings.

Education and Experience

Trained as a psychologist and psychotherapist in Peru, José completed  their Bachelor's in Psychology at Universidad de Lima. Invited to join  the faculty as an assistant professor for Basic and Higher Cognitive Processes, he later pursued certification with the Positive Discipline  Association, specializing in Adlerian Psychology. Recently, he acquired a Behavioral Sciences diploma, enabling them to apply Applied  Behavioral Analysis in their work with children with ASD.
