BSc.
William is committed to providing comprehensive psychological assessments through a client-centred, strengths-based approach. His work is rooted in empathy, ensuring each individual feels seen, heard, and valued throughout the assessment process. Professional Focus and Approach
William conducts psychoeducational and psychological assessments at VMA Psych. He understands that making time for self-discovery, change, and growth can feel daunting amid life’s many demands. He prioritizes building a genuine connection with each client, knowing it is essential for a meaningful and effective assessment. Committed to a thorough and balanced approach, William believes that recognizing an individual’s strengths is just as important as identifying their challenges—often making those strengths the foundation for lasting growth.
Specializations
William has experience working with a wide range of clients—from children and adolescents to adults and older adults. He completed his graduate clinical training in an inpatient hospital setting, supporting adolescents with severe depression, anxiety, psychosis, and trauma, providing both assessment and psychotherapy. With over four years of assessment experience, William has worked extensively with neurodevelopmental profiles, including ADHD, OCD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disability. He is deeply passionate about cognitive health and healthy aging, having supported older adults in long-term care as they navigated cognitive and emotional changes related to aging.
Education and Experience
William received his Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Psychology from the University of Waterloo, where he was also involved in research in the Cognitive Neuroscience of Memory and Language Lab and the Self-Regulation and Motivation Lab. This led him to pursue a Master of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler Professional Graduate School in Toronto. He received his graduate clinical training at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. He also completed clinical training on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) from ASERT at the University of Calgary.
